I have now come up something I call “RelayO” since “Chain Hoopla” wouldn’t really work in a woodland area.

Again I’m not sure how original RelayO is, just because I’ve never heard of it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist already.

No specific details, but I will say this:
1) it’s a team game
2) it has an optional skill element
3) it has an optional strategic element
4) there’s an alternative variation that involves something silly, but that’s better suited to another location

I’m currently ironing out the rules, but I’m hoping they are the sort of rules that some inventive young people will interpret in an inventive, unexpected way.
