We have one small string of holiday lights but feel guilty. Unnecessary consumption of electricity renewable or not and the disruption of bird navigation at night. We turn them off after an hour. Really, why do we have them? A waste. At least we do not have a Griswold Christmas light display. There are too many of those. We unfortunately have one on the next block.

The outside Christmas lights on the front of the house are now hung and powered up.

The lights in the back are hung up, but no power until tomorrow for them as I'm waiting on an extension cord.

This is our first Christmas in this house and the first time in many years that we've had much of anything to decorate.

It's actually quite nice to have something to decorate. More stuff will be added soon!
