NOT A MOTH POST. No mothing last night as the weather was atrocious. But mothman has other passions to pursue, one of which is running. I say ‘running’, it’s more a case of who can move slower, me … or a slug?! But I do it because I love it and it keeps my ravishing body all lithe and lissome. Beautiful 6km round the park … plenty of inclines, descents, twists and turns and lots of trees, plants, squirrels and waterfowl to enjoy.

It's all uphill getting here, but it's worth it for the views. I went for the easier top route of #Hastings Country Park today (151m/495ft elevation gain) despite accumulating 100weight of mud on my Hokas and halfway up my legs, but what's a run if you can't bring a bit of it home with you? 9.95km officially ... but let's call it 10. I won't tell if you won't! 😉

Much milder (9C) so had to dig out the short sleeved tops today which had been hibernating at the back of the drawer. Felt bouncy today on my 6km run, which is basically a mildly undulating 51m/167ft elevation gain route around the park and up through the woods. GPS behaved itself today. Clearly ashamed after yesterday's ticking off.

7:30am and now off on a 6 mile walk to get some breakfast at the Hastings Country Park Bale House. There is some avo toast with lime and chilli flakes topping with my name all over it. And a cup of tea, of course. I am a gentleman of distinction after all!

Silly hat post!

Had this running hat for 20 years and still serves me well. One thing I deplore is replacing something that is perfectly usable for vanity reasons. Hopefully it will last another 20! It may even outlive me!

Saw more out today in storm force gales and face-ripping rain than I see any morning of the week. There's something magical about battling the elements.

9km (7km uphill, 2km downhill), 146m/480ft elevation gain, 40mph winds and rain so hard it exfoliated.

Buy, oh my giddy aunt, it was amazing!

Nice and slowsy (that’s slow and easy) this morning. It was too nice to go fast. Mild weather (7C), the ducks were active on the pond, moorhens chasing squirrels was fun to watch, lots of leaves to kick, crunch and squelch. When you don’t train for anything you can run just how you wish.
