Shoutout to any 30+ folks out there who have made or are considering a career change or going back to school or picking up a new hobby. I’m curious about your experience. I’m 35 years old. I’ve been a massage therapist for 4.5 years. In 2020 I started guitar lessons and decided to change careers. I enrolled in college, majoring in Business, after having many creative business ideas, and lacking business knowledge. I just saw an "epic romance" casting call for women age 20-30 and men age 35-45.

I feel like storytellers, in print and film, think women over 30 turn into creatures of fungus and dust who only emerge at night to read feminist literature and brew foul potions.

Which we do. But we also have epic romances.
