It's a bit of a shot in the dark but a buddy gave me a hand me down GPU and I need to replace the thermal pads on it. Trouble is I can't find the info on thickness of the pads required anywhere ( And I have looked).

So does anyone know or know where I might find this info for a

I have these two fans. The IceGale fan is rated for 3500 rpm at 6.5 watts. The ThermalTake fan is rated for 2000 rpm at 8.4 watts. To compare airflow, the IceGale fan is supposed to deliver 127 cfm, while the ThermalTake is rated at 58. So, the ThermalTake fan delivers half the airflow and spins ~35% slower while consuming more energy?

Two #computer things I would never ever could understand, no matter how hard I try:
- #overclocking my ram
- how to assign an alias to my local machine so I can access it with a name instead of an IP

Riddle me this: my RTX 4090 works fine for about 10-15 hours of usage, then start getting increasingly unstable until it BSODs on idle with a DPC_Watchdog_Violation error, and only entirely switching the GPU to the other MOBO slot fixes the problem temporarily. Repeat.

Playing around with one of my EBC-5612 REV.A12 Socket 370 SBC, turns out its a great overclocking base and all around DOS/W9X performer. It has an SoundBlaster audio emulation that can be enabled, 4 COM, and a PCI slot. I have two of these boards so its time to make a custom case with custom PCBs for all the cable breakouts.

Doing some retro overclocking, managed to get 533MHz stable out of a 400MHz Pentium II. Using the Trinity 371 (Tyan S1857) motherboard as it supports Pentium II - Pentium III 733MHz.

Messing with some vintage overclocking with the parts below, system is stable at 560MHz.
