Friendly reminder (or in case you are not aware), I maintain a massive #BibTeX/#BibLaTeX file with #rendering-related references. It includes all the work I've ever cited in my own papers, all recent #SIGGRAPH, #EG, and #EGSR papers, and more (some 4000 and counting). I add to it regularly.
You can find it on GitHub here:
https://github.com/wkjarosz/rendering-bib
If you use #Overleaf, there is also an easy way to add it to your projects and keep it updated (explained in the GitHub repo readme). It is one of the first files I add to any new #LaTeX project.

@bmarne @crowdagger @typst pas convaincu non plus : #LaTeX a trop d’avance et est bcp trop riche pour être concurrencé… pour l’édition en ligne il y a #overleaf.
Et si on veut un balisage léger et rapide, en effet il y a moult possibilités.
I just learned that this #LATEX package exists. Could be very useful for collaborative working with the #Overleaf community edition.

I just discovered that that all #CNRS members (so basically everyone in a CNRS lab) have access to a version of the online #LaTeX editor #Overleaf with no restriction on the number of collaborators on a project and on the compilation timeout. https://plmlatex.math.cnrs.fr/project I haven't tried it yet but it seems pretty handy (it's based on the open source version of Overleaf so the interface looks very similar).
All members of #TUGraz receive an #Overleaf Pro license from today onwards.
I kindly request that public universities refrain from spending money on centralistic cloud services provided by third parties.

Well this is a load of !!fun!! Come on #overleaf this is one of your templates.
@christophmaier #Overleaf is great for collaborative *live* #TexLaTeX editing. It even has :vim: #vim and :emacs: #emacs keybindings if desired.
However, the free or self-hosted Overleaf doesn't have git integration and it's a real pain to sync it with a local (offline&faster&reproducible) LaTeX environment (no bulk upload possible, only ZIP download at once, etc.). I haven't yet used #nix for this yet, but a (huge, >2Gb, synced with #gitAnnex) #Apptainer, which works but is clunky.

For any users out there of our bioRxiv template: I just pushed a minor update that fixes a bibliography formatting problem on Overleaf.
Wow @curvenote is impressive, and their source code seems to be open: https://github.com/curvenote/curvenote
Quite the contender to #overleaf and aiming at a different market really.

I've used Microsoft office and libre office, further back open office before it merged with libre. But beyond usable and full of features is definitely #Overleaf
My favorite latex editor for everything. I've used it for years and wrote everything in it. Absolutely best #MicrosoftMove product. Highly recommend if you don't mind learning a bit of #code

If there just was a way of bulk-uploading a file tree to an #Overleaf project... You can upload multiple files but they all end up in the top-level project folder. 🙄
Any ideas how to keep a local git repository and a self-hosted #Overleaf (without the git support - which is a paid feature) in sync?
An API to retrieve and upload files would be nice, but apparently there is no such thing.
The 🔨 sledgehammer solution would be to selenium my way though the web interface I guess 😅
