I'm getting very frustrated with external IT consultants consistently providing quotes for high end "business class" laptops for our charitable not-for-profit. Our use case is essentially word processing, e-mail, and online research. We don't need top of the line anything. We need basic functionality.

Side note: does anyone ever actually use the fingerprint reader on a laptop? My last four have had one and I have never bothered to enable any.
