From tomorrow, #OvoEnergy are putting up my electricity standing charge to over 60p per day (a 20% rise), and I'll get a tiny decrease in unit charge (3%).

Why choose this strategy? It doesn't encourage lowering usage and charges the poor relatively more than the rich, who use much more energy per day. I suppose it has been calculated to maximise profit.

Hoping the UK electricity market opens up again soon and has something better to offer.
