But I don’t want to leave #GitHub, it has a big and active community and lots of nice tools.

Another modernization move, now from Adobe.

I never relied on storing files in Creative Cloud for a reason that something exactly like this will inevitably happen. Adobe has probably completed training their AI with user data and now tells you to suck it up and move along.

Own your data, store locally, do backups, build own IT infrastructure, support ethical providers and FOSS developers.

All this goes to show that a centralized Internet is NOT acceptable. Back in the 2000s if a service shut down, you just moved on to the next one. I was on so many forums and when one shut down, I, along with many other members, would just go to the next. Summary: Use the Disk Station as a NAS drive (SMB prooved to be rock stable). Use the Linux based functionality for everything else (SFTP for arq backup, Docker for Tools). Literally - NextCloud remains to be the best solution for your data.
