For the past 9 years I was using and .

I want to make my daily driver and it is like a reality check on how actually feels like, when it is not sugarcoated 😆 I am in pain!

My first gripe: how do I get rid of the white bar at the bottom? (Who needs it?)

I feel like I need to make a bunch of adjustments before I can feel comfortable using it. This is NOT GrapheneOS' fault. It is simply stockandroid.

may be the first Android skin in the Western market. Sad to see how far it has fallen from the days where I called it the best Android skin. The merging with the ColorOS codebase really didn't do any favors.

So! I tried and failed to build . It kept dying on a step that I had no energy or patience to diagnose.

What I did do, for the laugh, was factory reset the phone, because that's been a known problem for . They cocked up the updates from 11 to 12, leaving a lot of people (me included) with a mishmash of settings between and .

Stupid as it sounds, a reset and clean install really helped. At least the UI is cohesive now.

@COMPU73E tbh they're the best option. I had a 2 before this thing but the camera decided to die because of a firmware issue that refused to fix, so I got SALTY and said FINE I'll go with a NICE company that VALUES its customers...just in time for to gut everything good about .

I've had my little tantrum at Google; I'll probably go crawling back, but not until I've exhausted every option with the .

My phone screen has 2.5 million pixels. Yet the notification drawer can only display 4 characters out of a 8 char artist name of the song that's playing.

It really is all about the little things.
