This is a Bassian thrush. Ordinarily, it is a secretive seeker of bugs in the undergrowth &, by & large, is very hard to spot as a consequence. Imagine my surprise when I was able to (furviely) not only approach it but have it stand & pose nicely for me.

Hybrid lifer!
Quite thenโliferโ here. It is a juvenile Cromson rosella crossed with a White-cheeked or Eastern rosella or ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ต๐บ๐ค๐ฆ๐ณ๐ค๐ถ๐ด ๐ฆ๐ญ๐ฆ๐จ๐ข๐ฏ๐ด ๐น ๐ฆ๐น๐ช๐ฎ๐ช๐ถ๐ด. The colours in the the wing scalloping is typical of ๐. ๐ฆ๐น๐ช๐ฎ๐ช๐ถ๐ด with minor crimson edging showing. The torso is typical of juve ๐. ๐ฆ๐ญ๐ฆ๐จ๐ข๐ฏ๐ด with green hues over the bright yellows & reds but the clincher is the face patches which clearly show features of both - white & blue.
