More garland lilies - the patches in the back paddock are flowering well after the wet end to 2022. We have the usual crimson flowered form but there's also a special patch of which is white with a pink blush. Calostemma purpureum

Another native that grows very well on the NSW/VIC border is this dwarf Tea Tree (Leptospermum). It forms a small bush with burgundy foliage and has masses of vibrant red flowers.

For this week's thick trunk Tuesday we have this wild bark pattern on a karri (Euc diversicolor).

I don't think it was lightning based on the tree top, and probably not a vine.

Tuesdays are for thick trunked trees. For me, it's all about these Red Tingles (Eucalyptus jacksonii) in a little pocket of wet eucalypt forest on the south coast of Western Australia.

It’s a wet and blustery day today so here is a collection of cheery pink native flowers from mine and Dad’s gardens. The Leptospermum ‘Purple Haze’ with the bee is my favourite. Others are Erimophila, Kurrajong and Kunzea.

The Mountain Devil (Lambertia formosa) flowering in Morton National Park. The common name refers to the horned woody seed pods. Dad took this pic a year ago, it makes me think of camping and bushwalking with my parents as a kid.
