The Moderate 🟠 threshold for ozone is 101 ug/m3.
It reached 99.9 ug/m3 at 16:00 GMT (17:00 BST) and it’s still moderate! 🟠

Same thing here in #LongIsland. The 5 July morning after #AQI was similar to your reading. That said, the #Canada #WildFire smoke continues to be a problem, coming and going. Today, however, #ozone will be the primary pollutant coming as it does from #FossilFuel combustion.

Image below is smoke plumes form fire.airnow.gov. Much of it is far up in the atmosphere. Air Quality sensor layer is off. If it were on, much of USA would currently be "Good"

This ozone-killing chemical was not banned, and we underestimated it. A new study shows that dichloromethane, a widely used industrial solvent, can deplete the ozone layer faster than expected. This means the ozone layer's recovery could be delayed by several years unless dichloromethane emissions are reduced.
