The cables should be plenty available on ebay and aliexpress.
Digital modes like DMR sound like a perfect fit for 900MHz, tons of spectrum, resistant to interference and decently wide split for making repeaters.
For some reason I want a 70cm (the 433MHz govt split) #P25 Astro Saber.
I already have MD380 and Anytone 878 plus for DMR. Might as well get something neat and even more useless than my #TETRA radios.

So it completely falls flat with #TETRA and any other #encrypted police radio...

I'm going to need to get another Raspberry PI 4 soon, I am not sure I want to dedicate the PI 400 exclusively for the task of running OP25. But for now, it is working, and I am learning more about how OP25 works. And the control channel - Which is listed as being for my county, but seems to include some surrounding counties as well.

While AES256’s primary advantage is strong security, its position as the encryption standard (For two way radio / P25) throughout government, business and industry, and its status in the P25 suite of standards, make it the only reasonable choice.

After my latest power outage this morning I finally did what I should have done a long time ago and now have a 45+ minute battery backup all the way from my Baltimore County radio scanner and server to the fiber ONT so if I'm home (to turn on the generator), service disruptions should be a thing of the past. #introductions hi everyone, I’m an amateur from central Victoria, Australia. Radio interests include RoIP modes including #IRLP, #EchoLink, #AllStar, #M17, #DMR, #DSTAR, #P25 and #YaesuSystemFusion . Currently not on #HF, but plan to fix that in 2023. In the past, I’ve taken part in many aspects of the hobby including #satellites, #ARDF, #foxhunting, #SSTV, #contesting, and others.

Outside of radio, I’m a Masters #athlete, primarily a #sprinter, and have many science and tech interests.
