Anyone is using as some interface/environment for a personal or taking system that's more than just browsing/searching through a collection of files? (this is what I'm doing right now)

I'm currently looking for some inspiration/ideas/possibilities for keep using acme also for such usage, for some light -like usage, or something.

Sooooo... the whole point of adding bdf2subf into was to get acme to display the Terminus font properly :3

Research has shown that using any other font is :unacceptable:

However, since the last time I used it looks like that there has been lots of changes to in relation to font display. The current favoured way seems to be running fontsrv that exposes most of the system's fonts to p9p via 9pfuse and that is also able to do on-demand conversion of these fonts to 's subfont format. But somehow it really does not look good here with the latest Terminus TTF. Sadly X11 PCF fonts are not supported by fontsrv either. There is a subfont Terminus conversion floating around but it was not quite correct either. Thankfully, running bdf2subf on the latest BDF version of Terminus fixed everything.

For those who want the conversion I use and instructions on how to make theirs: git.bleu255.com/plan9port/file

bdf2subf 1.3.1.1 released :D

I started using again and am planning to maintain a local collection of tweaks/changes to (though probably 99.9% acme related). I'm starting by adding bdf2subf which is a handy BDF to subfont converter.

The latest version I could find is 1.3.1 from 2003 and I did minor changes to make it build nicely with 's INSTALL script.

git.bleu255.com/plan9port/comm

Will update thread about why this was somehow super important :)
