Rainy winter brings: pacific tree frog tadpoles! We have a small man made pond with a gate on top to keep raccoons, possums, skunks, birds etc from diving in and helping themselves. The tadpoles are sunning on a raised piece of paving stone. Because of the lengthy drought, it’s been a while (7yrs)since we’ve had tadpoles here.

Ha Ha! Frogs got busy last night. Build it and they will come! They, Pacific Tree Frogs ( pseudarcis regilla) , laid eggs last night on the reeds and sticks, I installed in my backyard tadpole habitat, just yesterday afternoon. They seem to prefer laying eggs on more horizontal than vertical planes.
