I remember those #pagers the company I had been working for has provided me with. Back in those days, I would call the manufacturer "Ball&Chain Cellular Technologies".

The Chinese Communications Ministry will stop issuing network access permits for new #fax machines, #ISDN, ATM/Frame Relay telecoms equipment and #pagers (presumably those on national networks). This won't affect existing equipment (or anything that is already certified), nor kit sold overseas, but increasingly fewer countries still use this tech (although VHF pagers still appear to be active in UK!)
