Fick ett sånt där spam från en webbyrå som tycker sig ha hittat potential på @webperf och nu gärna tog ett kostnadsfritt möte.

Så jag kollade hur deras webbplats såg ut enligt #Lighthouse, skickade dem resultatet och tipsade om #WebperfCore-testerna. Förstår att många lider av "skomakarns barn”, men 56 av 100 på #Pagespeed och en otillgänglig startsida är svårt att slingra sig ur. Tycker jag.

While I love the look of https://solar.lowtechmagazine.com/ 's ultra-dithered images, PNG can't really beat .webp for raw compression. .webp has support from 96% of browsers.

On my Nokia 6300 4G (VGA camera). No resizing.

Raw JPEG: 103K
PNG-8, dithered grayscale no alpha: 58K
WEBP, 90% quality: 54K
WEBP, 20% quality: 19K
WEBP, 10% quality: 15K
WEBP, 10% quality grayscale: 14K

Conclusion:
Technically the webp image is better, but it doesn't look nearly as good.

I got a #GTM question, if a container has tons of tags and not all of them trigger at the same time, does all of the tags still add to the loading time of the page? Thoughts @ahava ?

Someone told me it could slow down page speed coz the whole container with all tags, triggers and variables are loaded on every page even if they don’t fire. While I think the container is preprocessed on Google’s server and will only send what’s required when a page loads. #SEO #Pagespeed
