Notes on how we migrated our project from #Pagure to #GitHub. Including few quick'n'dirty scripts https://fedora-copr.github.io//posts/coprs-migration-to-github

It became difficult to continue contributing to free/open source software outside of work, when my job involves doing just that. So I am glad to have contributed a few bug-fixes to #Pagure yesterday ππ
After reading the #LWN article on pulling GitHub into the kernel process (https://lwn.net/Articles/860607/), I wished I knew the folks working on that effort to see if they might consider using #Pagure as a base to build a bridge between contemporary Git workflows with their email-based process. Unlike other Git forges, it is totally FOSS and supports accepting PR submissions where Git repos are on other servers. That makes the more distributed nature of Git usable with PRs. #pagure4kernelorg

We have found #funding and https://fedeproxy.eu is starting π
Our #foss project team is *very* motivated to do the right thing, and we need your input and help π
We'll offer @activitypub federation between #code #forges to provide seamless interop between repo's wherever they are hosted.
1st question: What's your preferred forge?

As today is RC freeze for @opensuse Leap 15.2, I'm pleased to state that #Pagure 5.10.0 will be included with Leap 15.2!
More info in the openSUSE Leap 15.2 Features page: https://en.opensuse.org/Features_15.2#Pagure_Git_hosting_forge_server
Apparently, #Pagure entered the Arch Linux AUR yesterday!

Another step on the path to world domination... π
#ForgeFed update! π
We're planning to implement in both #Pagure and #Gitea. Still waiting to finalize funding details with NLNet.
Implementation of author-hosted tickets in Vervis is in progress, and so is OAuth2. Next will come patches/MRs, and then we can finally release that Draft 1 along with a demo.
We're looking into making better docs, maybe a talk too. Would you prefer to read, or to see/hear me explaining? π

Woo! Today, #Pagure finally landed in @debian!
https://packages.debian.org/sid/pagure
I'm looking forward to seeing Debian-based Pagure deployments soon!
I'm pleased to indicate that I'll be attending #LibrePlanet in Boston next month! It'll be my first time attending, and I'm looking forward to it! Folks interested in learning about #Fedora, #Pagure, and other things from me can feel free to meet up with me there.
Well, #Pagure has hit a new milestone: it's been packaged for Debian and the package has been uploaded into the NEW queue: https://ftp-master.debian.org/new/pagure_5.8.1+dfsg-1.html
That backed up NEW queue makes me nervous that it'll sit there forever, though...
@sir have you considered using repoSpanner for this, as we do for #Pagure? https://github.com/repoSpanner/repoSpanner
@maiki@mastodon.sdf.org @clacke
These days, #Pagure is not exclusively Fedora centric. The Fedora Pagure branding is not the default anymore, as a brand new generic theme was made.
A number of changes have been made to simplify deployments outside of Fedora.
It is also now packaged in openSUSE Leap 15.1 and Tumbleweed, as well as Mageia 7.
Pagure is also now a Python 3 application everywhere but on EPEL 7 (simply due to lack of dependencies).
Please consider giving it another shot!
Indeed. I don't think Pierre-Yves Chibon (pingou on IRC in #pagure) is on Mastodon anywhere, but I would think he'd be interested in joining forces. He's pretty open to things. Perhaps you should talk to him about teaming up?
