In more bike news, it may be just because we have so few dedicated bike paths, or maybe they're actually more resilient.

Either way all the cycleways I used today are fully operational and other than a few branches scattered here and there, seemed to be pretty much untouched by the storm.

Great news because let's face it: any seriously damaged cycleways would not be a priority for fixing with this mayor and the current Auckland Transport leadership.

Absolutely love* being threatened with violence for taking a photo of a car parked in the cycle lane, blocking it.

Fortunately it's hard to catch up with a person on a bike if you get off your car to threaten them.
