11 years ago I had just moved to Germany, and I came back to Italy to visit my family and attend a #PainOfSalvation concert. I remember some of the songs as the soundtrack of the feelings of change, transition, fear while embracing something new.

Now I'm in Italy again for another concert of the same band, in a completely different frame of mind, looking back at the last 11 years. I made many right choices, but also...I was lucky. I am lucky.

Some music reminds me of my work as a school #psychologist. One such song is Accelerator by #PainOfSalvation. The song involves a shift from "I'm the problem" to "maybe I'm the solution" (and a brilliant shift from a stuttering 7/4 to a liberating 4/4), just like the radical shift from "they do this on purpose" to "kids do well if they can" is the solution to "behaviourally challenging" kids at school.
