These 2 images look like magnified cell cultures, right?
They are actually samples of textures in watercolor mini-washes. 😁🖌️ Texture in the all blue was created by sprinkling pickling salt. The second, blue with reddish blobs, was created with sprinkled quinoa.
I also sampled with sesame & chia seeds. The former resembles the quinoa, but with more oblong shapes. The chia seeds….. they stuck to the paper & lifted paper fibers off. #mastodonart #watercolors #paintingfun
