#PaleoartProcess Simplicivenius, one of the oldest assassin bug known with fossil records, from the Yixian Formation. Even older than my research material.

I'll be giving a talk @NHMU@twitter.com about the #PaleoartProcess focusing on #fossil #dinosaur skin: what it tells us (& doesn't) about #dino #biology & #evolution & what that means for how we imagine dinosaurs in #paleoart!

#Paleoart #PaleoartProcess Although the #sauropod #Ultrasaurus is based on a single undiagnostic humerus, it is very significant in #paleontology in South Korea because this is the first body fossil of a dinosaur discovered in South Korea.

#Paleoart #PaleoartProcess There are some fossil records of ceratopsians form South Korea, but #Koreaceratops is the only reported one among them.

#Paleoart #Paleoartprocess South Korea has numerous of trace fossils, especially famous for dinosaur tracks. Meanwhile body fossils are relatively poorly known. Here's the reconstruction of 'Hadongsuchus', a 'protosuchian' from Early Cretaceous South Korea. Only the skull is known so I used other terrestrial protosuchians as reference. The finished drawing will be eventually part of the upcoming Korean paleoart book.
#PaleoartProcess South Korean titanosauriform. There are several remains of sauropod skeletal remains from South Korea, but none of these body fossil records are either diagnostic or well-preserved. The finished drawing is planned to be added to the upcoming South Korean #Paleoart artbook project.
