@FortiterGames #RPGaDay2023 Day 31: Favourite #RPG of all time.
This is hard to say, but probably #SavageWorlds. As I said earlier this month, I can't really think of anything about it that I hate.
I love #Hackmaster (the "new" edition is more than 10 years old, folks, and has been around longer than the old edition), but it's got its lumps. I grew up on #Rifts #PalladiumFantasy #Shadowrun and #2e, but I can't really go back to them.

I am loving #TerminatorRPG and the #SLAIndustries system it's based on, but I normally prefer fantasy games.
D&D was my favorite game for thirty years. I reckon it's going to take a fair bit of time before I'll know what's taking its place.
Right now I'm on a buying/reading rampage across pre-2000 non-TSR fantasy RPGs. #RuneQuest, #Earthdawn, #PalladiumFantasy

I was in another conversation that reminded me of how much Palladium Fantasy I played in the 80s. But I don’t hear much talk about it in the OSR world. Possibly because it’s been continuously available since then, with only two editions ever.
I must admit I prefer 1st edition, something about using magic points for everything bugs me. I know it simplifies things and unifies it more with Rifts, but meh.
Anyone else play a lot of #PalladiumFantasy ? Anyone playing it now? Is it #OSR ? #TTRPG
So far, I've offered a lot of bitching about problems and not a lot of solutions.
First and foremost, I would argue that modern D&D/PF "ancestry" rules-- "ancestry" is a good word-- should be replaced with Occupational Classes and Ancestral Classes. #PalladiumFantasy for the one.
With the modern designs, two-axis subclasses (basically subrace and subclass), unique class features and spell lists.
