“Your mammy is your mammy”. That’s what the Palliative nurse said to my sister and I after my mothers #pancreatic cancer was diagnosed.
I had just told him that my father has also died of an aggressive cancer and he said “I know you say that you’ve been there before, but your mammy is your mammy”. My sister and I looked at each other, holding back our tears.
I’m understanding it more now, ‘your mammy is your mammy.”
