I have eagerly awaited results of the #pallipulm BEAMS (Breathlessness, Exertion, And Morphine Sulfate) trial in #copd.

Needless to say, disappointed the data showed no ⬇️ in worst breathlessness.

@ElversonJo #pallipulm can extend to that population. Children with CF, chronic trachs, etc are perfect examples of where the needs exist for a collaborative primary palliative care model like #pallipulm.

I started the #pallipulm movement on Twitter to advocate for and build a community that supports early palliative care for people with serious respiratory illnesses and their families.

In 3 years, that movement has grown with worldwide support for improved integration of palliative care into the field of pulmonary-critical care.
