Pamac situation Update :

I have updated the #Pamac thread on the #XeroLinux forums, now instead of Pamac-nosnap which has a lot of issues with displaying native packages on home page I have opted to use pamac-all with #Snaps disabled that works much better. #FOSS #Linux

J'ai ENCORE réinstallé mon PC, j'ai quitté le bateau Fedora, je captait rien à leur MaJ/dépôt chelous. J'ai remis #manjaro parceque j'adore #pamac.
#cinnamon est tellement plus efficace et beau que tout les autres DE.
Un jour, je le sais, je reviendrais à #debian avec LMDE. La boucle sera bouclée.

Speaking of #arch, I'm a recent #endeavouros convert from #ubuntu as a daily driver.

While the graphical installer isn't as polished, it's decent, and pretty powerful.

I've got #flatpak and #snap for third party binaries, and use #pacman / #pamac for most packages. No complaints from me!

#Garuda #Sway - VERY nice! Feature-complete and easy to use for someone like me who is used to a floating window manager and DE.

There are mouse-driven graphical utilities for theming, power management, and more. #Laptop keyboard buttons work OOTB, #Pamac is here, it’s got a nice graphical app launcher, and it’s got gesture support. There’s also a well-stocked cheat sheet, but it’s a bit buried in config folders.

Looking forward to spending some time here learning about TWMs.

I wish that the #GNOME Software Center queued your apps for installation all at once like #Pamac does. GSC becomes mostly unrensponsive while installing an app, meaning I have to install them one at a time. With Pamac, I can select all my apps first, click "Install," make a few choices about options, and then leave the computer to do it's thing.

I have come to a realization, to keep all releases consistent I will be killing #Gnome software in #XeroG replacing it with #Pamac coz that thing is craptastic to say the least ... I tried to stick with it but it's so damn limiting it's no joke.. To those of you already on XeroG no need to do anything this is meant for new users .. Old users can remove it and install Pamac manually if need be. #Linux #FOSS

Giving EndeavourOS a spin. Don’t think I’m a fan of build-it-yourself software - stuff just takes too long to setup. But the installer is great, the custom utilities are quality, & #Pamac, my FAVORITE PM, is just a few keystrokes away.

Cinnamon has become my favorite DE. Not as customizable as Gnome or KDE, but the simplicity and ease of use make up for it.

Now if #Serif would just port their fantastic #Affinity apps to Linux, I could dump macOS once and for all.

Since #XeroG uses Gnome Software over #pamac will add shortcut to #PacSeek on the dock for those who want to install #AUR packages. #flatpaks are already enabled by default... #linux #xp

#Manjaro - #Pamac fails to synchronise due unacceptable #TLS certificate

The reason for this is maybe not the certificate but the high load on the servers.

People judge Manjaro certificates all the time but no one takes a closer look about what is really going on.

Just found out that you can make #hyperlinks to distribuion's #desktop #software center! When I hover this link on #Okular website, it shows:

I click it, and #AppStream-compatible #Pamac GUI opens up on my #Manjaro. My consensus is that many #download pages could make opening #package details on #Linux click-away with the help of such #link, hence faster #setup.

@survey #manjaro is the ONLY OS that works OOTB with my old Lenovo Yoga 13. It also runs great on my 2014 MacBook Air. Despite their odd missteps from time to time, I’ve had almost no issues with it, and I just LOVE Pamac! Pamac is hands-down the BEST graphical package manager I’ve ever used.
