so I have always been something of a nervous Norvis, and w/menopause ===> Panic Disorder with Agoraphobia (among other things).

Over the last few yrs and with the help of my GP, things are managed with a combo of meds and meditations (etc).

Last night, the dude and I had a miscommunication that resulted in me believing for several hours (2-4am) that he was *missing*.

Does anyone with experience of panic attacks have a feeling for whether they arise out of a gradual, largely unnoticed building of anxiety and/or whether the panic attack's resultant effect is to temporarily "reset" the mind to a calmer setting?

In other words, could a panic attack be viewed as a cathartic release of pent-up anxiety?

Soooo...just watched the newest episode of The Last of Us....why why why why why! Did they not warn about the part near the end of the episode?! I'm now dealing with full on panic and just delt with flashbacks from my own trauma...

As someone with a #panicdisorder that feeds off my legitimate health related fears, being forced to work on a public desk surrounded by maskless people has tanked my productivity and make me a pretty shit employee if i'm being honest.

I don't think my supervisors believe i'm not just lazy. But just try to do focused creative work during or immediately following a panic attack.

Mine is falling asleep. Possibly the least useful panic trigger I could think of.
