Y aquí tenemos el otro disco que compré. De Gabriel tenía el #Us en CD, que tenía buenos temas, pero que me pareció denso y me alejó de ir más allá de los temas conocidos en el resto de su carrera.
Recientemente ha sacado #Panopticom, que me ha parecido un temazo y sabía que este disco de 1986 había significado un antes y un después en su carrera, así que quería añadirlo a mi repertorio.
Si tenéis ocasión, ved el documental #InsideJob, hacen un uso magistral de #BigTime. La sorpresa agradable del disco es #MercyStreet.
Me llama la atención el orden de los temas en la cara A; yo habría abierto con #Sledgehammer y habría cerrado con #DontGiveUp, pero él sabe más que yo.
Es el primer disco de Gabriel que tiene título como tal, ya que los cuatro anteriores se llamaban "Peter Gabriel". Me gusta el diseño del disco y de los singles, que tenían el nombre del cantante en letras blancas dentro de una pastilla azul.

It’s from the forthcoming “i/o,” which will be his first album of original material in over *twenty* years.

Cela fait vingt ans que j’attends un « vrai » nouvel album de Peter Gabriel. Alors quand l’artiste a sorti un single il y a quelques jours, je n’ai pas résisté…
« Panopticom » tourne en boucle depuis et c’est aussi bien que j’imaginais. Bon, d’accord, je suis peut-être un peu biaisé, mais quand même.

En quelques mots : j’adore, je suis trop trop trop content :)
Et plus en détail : je n'irai pas jusqu'à dire que ça valait le coup d'attendre 21 ans parce que ce serait abusé, ni même que le résultat est à la hauteur de l'attente, parce que rien ne peut être à la hauteur d'une telle attente mais j'adore le morceau, c'est du PG tout craché.
