192 followers · 435 posts · Server mastodon.nzWhile we look with shock on the fate of Paora being handled at the Miami Zoo, maybe we should also be questioning our own zoos when they have up-close experiences. Wellington Zoo has Red Panda feeding, for example. Is that ok for them?
Personally, I’ve been put off zoos ever since I was up close with the gorillas. It felt like I was just watching another human and it felt uncomfortable.
