Proud to have presented a research paper with my colleague Shaikh Abdul Basit at the 4th INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN DARCH23 held in Turkey.
Our paper titled THE BRICK SCREEN: PARAMETRIC APPROACH TO TRADITIONAL PAKISTANI JALI WITHIN THE DIGITAL DIVIDE, goes into detail regarding the process and challenges of the recent parametric brick facade at Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi. Our motivation for this publication was to provide insights into working at extremes of the digital divide in a region like Pakistan and encourage fellow architects to pursue parametric design tools with existing design and construction practices.
