I don't know exactly what brought about our school districts change in wages, if it was the teachers union or if the school district figured out that their hiring shortage isn't going to get any better without a more competitive wage. But when the new school year starts my hourly rate has been bumped by two and a half dollars. Usually it's a measly 30 cents.

Regardless of what brought this about, I'm not going to argue. 🤷❤️

It's always important to say to them, it's so good to see you, and I missed you. It's not okay to ask how their break was because not everybody lives in a safe place and school breaks can be traumatic for kids.

Normally I work in the #SPED part of my highschool as an #educator / #paraprofessional. But I had to cover for a middle school class the last hour and a half-ish. I now have a migraine, I cannot understand how there is such a difference in behavior between 8th and 9th grade. #teacherproblems
