Being a #ParentCarer can be hard work, I rarely have time apart from my son. Thankfully we do get along really well and have a lot of shared interests which makes it a bit easier.
Today though, he goes out with his befriender for a while....and I cannot wait for the pleasure of some quiet time during the day!
I had a vile MH crisis back in 2021. I'm well on the road to recovery, but I still have many days where recovery feels like this

TW: ableist slurs
Been very moved by articles by fellow parent carers this morning re ableist slurs which moved me to want to draw about it.
This drawing isn't quite expressing what I mean, and is a bludgeon of a picture, but I wanted to get started as it's time to do better at this. And I direct that message very much at myself too

My daughter's sleep is particularly wobbly at the moment. She needed me pretty much every half hour last night. But despite that, I'm still so happy right now. It's great to be productive again. Now working on my first rough for a background for a new Valentine's card

A bit niche, but I'm looking for people in the #RettSyndrome #SETD5Syndrome #Autism #LearningDisability #Epilepsy community. Our daughter has all of the above. Would love to meet fellow #ParentCarer #UnpaidCarer folks
