A weird day yesterday.
I dropped my eldest off at the airport as he moves out, to the Netherlands.
It's a great adventure, and I am obviously a proud dad. But, I have woken up this morning and I miss my boy.

I can finally share!

This is our new family member - Miss Kitty.

She's 10 years old and we got her from an elderly neighbor, who can't bring her with him as he's going to a nursing home.

She's very vocal, has strong opinions, loves to cuddle, and fits right in.

I had to wait until the kids had met her - SURPRISE!! - before introducing her to the world. They're stoked!

I MADE A DISH THAT ALL THREE KIDS ARE ENJOYING!!

I was so thrilled I called my sister and my mum on a 3-way call just to share the good news 😂

The dish, you ask? A simple one they make at daycare: pumpkin + other orange veg + a bit of broccoli and stuff cooked into a soup (onion, garlic, salt, bay leaf, touch of oregano for flavour), with rice then cooked in to make a risotto-like thing. Add a bit of Parmesan and *chef’s kiss*
