Today is the third regional FIRST #robotics meet for my kids’ team. This is the second meet in in a row and only the 2nd meet in 5 years that I’m not going to make because of grad school obligations. I feel pretty bad about it. They’re among the top local teams and this is huge for them. I definitely feel like a bad parent here :(

Raising kids is the hardest job of all! It’s a 24/7 shift, driven by emotional involvement and it includes physiological chemical reactions, which often prevent reacting in a reasonable manner within our own family relations.
