After its purchase by #Netflix, #NewYorkCity's famed #ParisTheater will be back in business with upgrades including a new #DolbyAtmos sound system and a projection system that can screen 70mm films. The venue will open with a 'Big & Loud' showcase Sept 1-7. The lineup includes 2001: A Space Odyssey, Baraka, Lawrence of Arabia, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Playtime, Roma, Top Gun, Apocalypse Now: Final Cut, Blade Runner: Final Cut, Da 5 Bloods, Mad Max: Fury Road, The Matrix,and A Quiet Place.

I have lived in NYC for 15 years, and I am still amazed by all its details. This photo—one I took on my way to French Institute Alliance Française—is filled with details: trees outlined with lights (it looks gorgeous at night), the Paris Theater marquee (it is the oldest arthouse theater in NYC), the Joan Miró sculpture at the Solow Building, the Pulitzer Fountain on the left…there’s always something interesting to look at in this city.
