Normalerweise sehe ich auf Lauffotos immer sehr ungelenk aus. Letzte Woche gab es aber tatsächlich mal zwei annehmbare - eines beim 🇺🇦-Lauftreff am Schönberg und eines beim #parkrun.

This weekend I again skipped #Parkrun and followed my daughter to their #crossCountryRun: it's an inter-school relays in the beautiful Lake Wilderness Park! While the kids ran through grass, trails and water (and won the 2nd place among ~10 schools), I did my part (skipping water) -- a 5.3-mile easy run in Maple Valley!

Took my monthly turn as Run Director today for our local Junior Parkrun. 28 kids made it out in 22°c heat. The park is still mostly green but there are signs that summer is burning out and autumn is on the way #today #parkrun #JuniorParkrun #NaturePhotography

#PlymValley #parkrun are using an alternate course due to a hornets nest on the usual route. It is over long. I made it 5.3km which is too much to be explained by GPS error and others were saying the same thing. However, it was still a lovely run and this alternate course is virtually all on a tarmac cycle path except for a short bit at the start and the end.

Enjoyed first proper stint as Run Director this morning. Great team supporting and nice to get my name on the ED jacket #parkrun

Much too hot for #parkrun this morning, 24°C and high humidity. I had plenty of energy left at the end but couldn't keep going because I was sweating too much and overheating.

I was slow this morning but honestly it was all I could do to finish in under 35 minutes. Next week should be cooler.

#ParkRun 33 done and done. Hottest day of the year and I felt it. Struggled towards the end in the unshaded slight incline bit. There were millions of people there and noticeably a lot more having to stop and walk. All human life was there. The good, the bad and the ugly (you should have seen me run). But I feel like I've exorcised and exercised my demons (and all of the salt) from my body. It's not going to be a PB, but I feel MAGNIFICENT. Pretty sure I could solve all of the world's problems, if only I was allowed to have a go.

TIL that the queue at the bakery is radically longer if you skive #parkrun just so you can get to the bakery queue sooner. Well played, universe.

@thisismyglasgow the best time to view is shortly before,or after, participating in #tollcross #parkrun every Saturday at 9.30, meet by the bandstand, briefing at 9.20.

One can only value the great social media performance of @dietenbachparkrun after seeing the "what's app or die" approach of other #parkrun 's.

I did three visiting trips to other parkruns and were in contact before and after the events with the organizers. None of those three answered back my request to send me a link to the photos (on an open plattform).
Kind of sad and surely not a way to "grow parkrun" on the continent. Also not in line with the "parkrun volunteer principles" :(
