Midnight Runners

Great action movie! 2 police university students discover a crime that needs urgent attention & the regular police are too busy. They learn a lot through their efforts & mistakes as they struggle with some ethical questions. There is some comedy & a good bromance, but no romance. I'm glad they didn't try to add that in. That would have been too much for a movie. There is a lot of good fight scenes & training for fighting. I was impressed that the leads don't win every fight, so you don't know what will happen.

If you watch, make sure to watch through the first part of the credits, there's another scene that makes a perfect ending.

I think maybe the short movie format was to blame? I didn’t think I saw nearly enough of IU. She & Park Seo Joon were great together when they were on screen, but there wasn’t as much of them together as I expected.

But I still loved the movie. It’s a definite pick-me-up movie for me.

I was waiting for this one to be available on streaming. Both Park Seo Joon & IU are on my list of favorite actors. They did not disappoint.

I can honestly say I've never cried over sports before, but a single soccer goal brought me down. It had some funny & cute moments, but really was a story of perseverance & hope. It was truly heart-warming.

Park Seo Joon's character has some nice character growth. The soccer was fun to watch. I read somewhere that the actors did those shots over & over again until they got it. You can see that dedication in the movie.

Definitely will be on my rewatch list!

I completely forgot “Fight for My Way” - I thought there was great chemistry with Kim Ji-Won - although you have to wait for it.

But then again, I thought she had great chemistry with Ji Chang-wook in “Lovestruck in the City”. I love her and intend to watch more. So maybe she’s good with every lead.

He is the second lead in “Kill Me, Heal Me” and he does have a bit of chemistry - but because of the story it’s almost creepy. I think he plays it very well.

Although in “She Was Pretty” with the same actress, I didn’t feel much chemistry - I was rooting for the 2nd lead.

I thought he had pretty good chemistry in “A Witch’s Love” and excellent in “Hwarang” (although I was rooting for PHS, who had even better chemistry) & “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim”. I didn’t feel much chemistry in Itaewon Class, but I think that’s because of the character.

Almost finished with “Kill Me, Heal Me” a 2015 #kdrama with Ji Sung, Hwang Jung-eum, & Park Seo-joon. I started watching as part of my "Watch Everything with Park Seo-joon Quest”.

The first few episodes were a little annoying - there is a lot of screaming from the female lead. But by episode 5, I was hooked.

I am now on episode 18 (out of 20) and am looking forward to seeing how it all wraps up.

Although I started watching because of PSJ (he is excellent in this show), I became a huge fan of Ji Sung. He carries off an amazing acting feat. There is a lot of laughing & crying with this one.

Finished #Hwarang The Poet Warrior Youth last night.

Action, suspense, tragedy, love triangles & quadrangles, with a good dose of comedy. Gorgeous costumes & scenery. Great actors. Park Seo-joon, Park Hyung-sik & Go Ara deliver stellar performances switching smoothly from drama to comedy to romance.

Definitely on my list of favorites.
