After the EVA construction was complete on Callyon, we paper mache'd the exterior. We used brown paper and mod podge to achieve a skull-like texture.

From our scaled up pattern, we cut out pieces of EVA foam and adhered them together with contact cement. The end result is light, durable, and flexible!

Process shots from the initial maquette sculpt to the pattern we used to fabricate Callyon's head! 

We use tape on top of the sculpt to draw out pattern pieces, then we scale everything up.
