The MPs accused of trying to interfere with the #Partygate report have managed to escape sanction, even as the HoC endorsed the report critical of their actions... well I suppose a public reprimand is something, but I'm sure the Law & Order minded #Tories wouldn't accept that if those MPs were benefits claimants (then they's be wanting to see some punitive action)....

I mean, it's not. It's dire. Members of Parliament, Government, the Lords, and the Privy Council haranguing a Committee appointed by the whole House and with a specific remit to look at conduct and standards is extremely bad form — and yet another example of these absolutely insane Johnsonites undermining our democratic institutions and constitutional traditions.

British MPs on Monday voted overwhelmingly to remove ex-prime minister Boris Johnson's parliamentary pass as they approved a damning report that found he lied to parliament about Covid-19 lockdown-breaking parties.

Following hours of debate, held on Johnson's 59th birthday, MPs voted by 354 to seven in favour of the Privileges Committee's findings.

Yesterday's vote finished the careers of two Prime Minister's.

The humiliation of the artist known as 'Boris' was matched by the humiliation of Sunak

He didn't even have the spine to defend the parliament he is Prime Minister off!

He is weak, he knows it and we all know it. He talks a good game but his actions give him away.

Sunak doesn't deserve to be PM if he can't defend the House. He lost the last of his credibility yesterday by not turning up.

In the end I have (a little) more respect for the seven MPs who voted against the #Partygate report's findings & sanctions on #BorisJohnson, than the large number of #Tory MPs, too scared to express an opinion at all... all the evil needs is for good people to do nothing; and here was a moment when the 'good people' could have easily done something but they couldn't bring themselves too.... they are either complicit or spineless, but in either case should be voted out of their sinecures!
