In one of my biking excursions to a neighboring city, I found a caged falcon (or hawk?) somewhere around here.

There's a new(ish) footbridge that lets you cross the #Pasig River, from#Mandaluyong to Bacood, a neighborhood in Santa Mesa, #Manila.

The poor bird is in a tiny cage, barely big enough to stretch its wings.

In my own neighborhood, I occasionally still see egrets along a creek, on certain times of the year.

Many people are making their way to #Binondo, #Manila's #Chinatown (and claimant to "oldest Chinatown in the world" title) to celebrate the #LunarNewYear.

I joined the unhurried #NoodleRide organized by the #FireflyBrigade #biking advocates. Even got to chat with a couple of #bikers while we made @padyak (en=pedaled) from #Pasig to Manila.

Even Spidey was there! New York will have to do without him today.

A side-trip to Japan, via #Pasig? 🤣

On my way back, I stumbled on this Japanese yatai-style place: AJC by Chef Togezaki. Looks interesting, and it's still early for most diners.

As with anything Yatai, it's nothing fancy, and the menu is limited.

No luck with okonomiyaki. Gyudon wasn't bad, but too little meat, and too much rice. They make their own interesting Gyozas, and worth a comeback.

I was at the #BikeDemoDay event in #Pasig's #ArcoviaCity and based on the number of bikes in the parking lot, it attracted a large crowd of bikers in this part of #MetroManila

Entrance is free unless you want to demo a bike (~3 USD), and you need your own helmet.

Typical of these events, there were plenty of stuff being sold at a discount.

Saw a lot of people in their biking get-up, and a big majority were on mountain bikes but found some folders, too.

The #OpenStreetMap #OSM15 community celebration in the #Philippines (#Pasig, to be exact) made it to the group collage in this week's featured image. 😄
