Here's another blog post of mine about #DungeonsAndDragons #5E where I looked up exactly how #PassivePerception worked in relation to active perception. In a game I was playing in, the DM ruled that when rolling for #perception we could get lower than our passive perception, which didn't seem right to me; how can you see more when you're not actively looking than when you are actively looking for something? The rules in the #DND #DMG & Player's Handbook were unhelpful too
