Yesterday I had an amazing day at the Oxfordshire Home Ed Summer Camp. We did #LunarSketching of the #PtolemaeusTrio (+ one child drew an astronaut on the Moon!). When the clouds cleared loads of children & adults got to see the Moon through my telescope. Happy #LunarNewYear ! It is the year of the Rabbit. I do not have any rabbit paintings, but I do have this colorful pastel drawing from a few years ago. I hope I get some commissions of rabbits, or I may try to find time to create an original painting or two of bunnies at some point in the future.

In 2019, I created 11 pet portraits for customers. This is the first; Ally, the mixed breed brindle dog, painted for my neighbor (at the time). Acrylics on canvas. They chose a reference photo of Ally that featured her old girl appearance rather than one from when she was younger.

The last portrait from 2018, this is Tucker, a boxer mix. The owner said he was always getting his lip stuck on his snaggle teeth, and wanted that immortalized in his portrait. She commissioned three identical portraits of Tucker, and gave them to her family as a way to remember this special dog. Acrylics on canvas.
