Right out of my easel, soft pastel portrait of #sinead R.I.P.
This painting was commissioned by one local woman and it was a privilege for me to paint Sinead. I have admired her since I was a very young girl.
Beside my encaustic painting I regularly challenge myself in order to develop portrait skills and explore techniques from old masters to achieve real skin tones.

This is a recent pastel of mine. A lot of my work is graphite/charcoal but when it comes to colour pieces, I almost always reach for pastel. This one actually won 2nd place in the recent FCA limitless show in Vancouver.

Der letzte Work-in-progress Thread war ja irgendwie ein Rohrkrepierer, deswegen diesmal nur ein fertiges Bild. Auftragsarbeit, 24x32 cm, Pastell, 30 Stunden Arbeit. Vorlage war ein älteres Handyfoto ☺️ 🇬🇧 Last work-in-progress thread was a nonstarter, so this time only a finished piece of work. Commission, 24x32 cm, pastels, took me 30 hours.
