Lovely countryside. Unbeatable on #pastry and #wine. Great #bread (as long as it's white) and #cheese (but I still think #italy is superior on the latter - we got variations on most of the cheeses they've got, but we got plenty of great cheeses they come nowhere near). Not the best coffees

Is there like a baking / pastry mastodon, a community sharing tips on baking? If you have good people or hashtags (or whatever other way to plug in), let me know? There's a ton on Instagram but it's not a great place to chat.
Today I experimented with creating tartlet shells with high walls by cutting silpain bands into a circle. It's messy but the result is quite nice. Now to figure out what to put inside, there's lots of room! (Height is 4.5cm, almost 2")

June 16th is #Cannoli Day, honoring a classic #Italian #pastry that originated in the South of #Italy, on the island of #Sicily. Most cannoli consist of tube-shaped shells of deep-fried pastry dough filled with a sweet and creamy mixture made from #ricotta #cheese. Regarding the shells, they can be either store-bought or made from scratch with flour, sugar, butter, egg, and wine. Anyhow, they are best when crunchy!
