It's so poignant and powerful, and deeply sad. When it first aired, it seemed like such an unlikely and dystopian story.

Is it just me, or are TNG-era #holodeck-amok episodes actually just an updated version of your standard time-travel episodes, where the crew is forced to play through some known scenario from fiction (or history) to achieve a victory state to end the holodeck scenario (maintain the timeline).🤔
