#Pongal is in the South (of India). It's Lohri or Sankranti in the north and Poush Sankranti in #Bengal, where winter delicacy of date palm sap jaggery* is used to sweeten. There are many types of pithe, filled crepes or dumplings (with varied additional sauces, embellishments too).
