Preseason 1 tonight at 7. Good chance to see the newbies and also see how far Bill O'Brien has got putting the offense back together after last year's C.F.

Mostly I'm posting this to try to revive these hashtags and get a community going.

So the #Patriots didn't get D-HOP. Okay. It would have been great to see Mac have someone like that to throw to.

BUT... Can't say I'm super upset. Yeah, it could have been a big help this season, IF he could get up to speed soon enough. IF he could stay healthy. Neither of those is easy to count on.

He was clearly asking for the moon with his contract, and sinking that kind of money was limit things in other wise.

Let's see what happens between now and December.

Thought I was going to miss the #Patriots game due to a concert I'm going to on Sunday... Turns out they have the Thursday Prime Time Game this week. #Football #NFL #ForeverNE #GoPats #PatsNation

Reports are that David Andrews' MRI came back negative for serious injuries. He's day to day, and may not make it for the short week to play Thursday, but would definitely be back for the next game.

@lynneverson @NFL I found literally nothing on the usual #PatsNation (etc.) hashtags. I think that crowd is less motivated to get away from the angry bird.

I'm seeing almost no community of interest here yet around my favorite sportball team, so I'm going to try to recruit some people in that community to come talk about the New England Patriots on Mastodon.
