My first true musical obsession was with #PaulSimon and his collaboration with #ArtGarfunkel, that was when I was about 10. When I excitedly told my classmates about them I mostly got bombastic side eye, but luckily my teacher was fond of them and made us all translate Bridge Over Troubled Water for English class. Fondest memory of elementary school for me.

When say "a teen" I mean a very young teen. #TheBeatles almost raised me, but I did, to my surprise, outgrow them. I never outgrew #PaulSimon / Simon & Garfunkel though. There are even still some "hardcore"-like albums fro my youth I still listen to. It is odd how selective age is on musical taste. I always loved #jazz, but only later in life really began to absorb it and become knowledgeable. I did go through a massive #blues, folk-blues period in my early through late twenties.

I've had #PaulSimon's "That's Why God Made the Movies" in my head for a couple days now and it is such a sad, sad song. It is really bringing me down.

I’ve been enjoying #PaulSimon’s new album (Seven Psalms) which is being compared to Bowie and Leonard Cohen’s last albums. It makes me wonder though, are there any last/“late era” albums from women that are (or, are celebrated for seeming to be) a musical look back at their life/discography? Or is this somehow a type of album unique to male musicians?

Last night, I researched #BrooklynLawSchool Annex. It’s been called the best #postwar building in #brooklyn. The #lawschool itself was founded in 1901 and was the first on #longisland. #BernieMadoff and #paulsimon both attended but neither finished. Up Now, Paul Simon and his One Trick Pony from 1980. Paul asked on TW for the fav tracks on it; I can't homestly pick, however, each incredible of their own. I think we are all One Trick Ponies of sorts. This LP was gifted by M&D, & holds huge sentiments under the music itself. Underdog, underrated LP, dare I say his best?😀😓😎
