I also really donβt want to use Amazon. Iβve heard iffy stuff about shipping from Microcenter too, unfortunately.
Are there any decent PC part sellers left out there? Iβd really like to get a new build stated. (In the USA.)

234 followers · 1839 posts · Server floss.social@sfoskett I have watched so many random amateurs on youtube who think applying more is better that I just skip over the thermal paste portion of most build videos.
The whole point of thermal paste is to fill in the imperfections in the connection between the #heatsink and the hot object.
The most correct method is a visibly thin layer over most of the processor.
I'm frequently tempted to use a small comb and 'brush' the paste the way you would mortar for tiles.

- 2.5" SSDs are no longer state-of-the art, M.2 drives are the new standard now?
- Graphics cards are *incredibly* expensive and distinguished in ways I no longer readily understand π
- PCI is no longer a thing (RIP my faithful soundcard? π’)
I feel like I've been thawed from permafrost!
